Real Talk - Publishing Update
Hey Everybody. Due to unforeseen events I have delayed the release of Rise of the Paladin.
Only a couple of months. Not much really. A short delay to make sure the book I give you, being my first, is the best possibility it can be.
I will make no excuses, but I will try and offer explanation. My life is complicated. In 2010 I did the unthinkable and quit my job.
Since then I've been riding a roller-coaster. To keep doing this thing called life I've been hiring myself out for a slew of different freelance gigs--mobile notary public, carpenter/laborer, writer. These have been to varying degrees of success.
These jobs are all so varied they don't really complement each other. To be able to mentally jump between these and still be in the present is exhausting. I'm not exactly rolling in money, either.
Trust me when I say this has been preferable to the life I led in the corporate world. Yet, in the end my goal has always been to write fiction.
"Rise of the Paladin" is my number one professional priority, but exhaustion and financial need forced me to focus on money today.
Because my goal is to be a fiction writer it's frustrating to not have it ready for you. I'm impatient. However, I must be patient a little while longer. I ask that you be patient with me.
I'm expecting to have it out in February. I am not going to say an exact date at the moment. More on that later.
What I will say is that I plan to be present. I haven't said a word for a little over thirty days. That was the epitome of an ostrich putting it's head in the sand to avoid trouble. I won't do that again.
I will be on my website, Facebook Page, Google+, and Twitter accounts letting you know what's up. I enjoy sharing my love for the martial arts, entertainment, and life. Because I enjoy this I will continue to do it. I hope you find value with what I share.
Thanks for continuing this ride with me. I love you guys!
